Oooh light, nice light. Clean bright white light.

Yeah, I’m stepping out of my cave to scream “I’M DONE!!!”

Finally, finished book 2 last night. WOOT!! WOOT!! WOOT!!!.

I just finished the read through and tweaking and I’m about to send it off in cyber space to my editor, all 50,148 words of it. That means I can watch Sex in The City tonight. WOOT!

I know I have been MIA for a while and I thank you for all the emails I got (Wylie) wondering if I was dead or not. It made me feel warm and fuzzy whilst I scrambled to finish. I hope to get around to everyones blog in the next couple of days and see what your up too.

This afternoon I’m heading to Waterloo Ontario and I’m getting a portrait done. A professional thing for book jackets and promoting and crap. I hate getting my picture done, but since I have too I went out yesterday and got my hair professional cut and colored. Hehehe, it’s red with some purple in it. Bad Amy, you’re a mother after all *insert devil laugh*

I’m just glad to be finally done.

DONE.

Guess I’ll start book 3.

Happy Birthday

Yay for Season Premieres!

Thursday, September 25th, 2008

The Office it back!!! WOOT!! I am so excited, especially with all the cliff hangers last season. Woot, woot and woot. It’s on at 10 p.m., EST after Survivor. Okay, am I the only one that thinks that Survivor really has seen it’s day? Does anyone watch this show any more?

Of course I don’t watch much real TV. Usually the TV is off at night and I listen to music whilst I work. It’s my only quiet time, the kids are in bed … the DH is cleaning up the dinner dishes since I cook and the Muse is set and ready to work.

This weekend I’ll be able to watch Sex and The City the Movie, that is … after the two birthday parties. Boo’s birthday is Friday September 26th. The Princess Party is Saturday and Sunday brings the family over to celebrate Boo’s birthday. Big turkey dinner this Sunday.

Oh … and I got this today:

All in all a good Thursday.

Stayed up almost all night. Tweaking thinger. One more night and finished. So close to The End I can taste it. And I know I keep saying that, but things kept getting in the way. Like colds and sinus infections (which I just had a relapse from my all nighter). So, so very close.

 Here’s a pretty picture. Enjoy.

This is a picture I took in the Japanese Tea Garden in San Francisco. It relaxes me. I need to just RELAX!!

Quick Funny

Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008

I am so unbelievably busy. So I don’t have anything intelligent to say or post.

So I thought I would share with you a funny video about Torchwood and Hitler. LOL!

Excited on so many levels!

Monday, September 22nd, 2008

First I am excited about the fact that I have preordered The Long Way Down! WOOT! I had no idea there was another one until Kelly Boyce left a comment mentioning it. It releases October 28th and I am so stoked!! WOOT!

Enchantress The Sorceress is almost complete. I lost two days because of illness, but I am on the cusp. One more drop.

And lastly, I heard from my editor at EC. I just sold two more quickies! WOOT! The titles have not been approved as of yet so I will get back to you on the deets later.

All in all a very productive Monday.

 How’s your manic monday going?

So I got a sinus infection, and with that brought another freaking gall bladder attack. It was mild though, and I was able to sleep through it. Thankfully I have my ultrasound this thursday to determine what measures need to be taken. I haven’t heard from my Doctor so I am assuming that my blood tests for my liver were okay. It’s just got me a bit worried that the ultrasound is going to be looking at my aorta as well.

I couldn’t write at all yesterday, but today. Ahhhh today I have been writing and finishing up some promo stuff. And as I have been laying here writing, and promoting I’ve been watching one of my favorite documentaries The Long Way Round.

For anyone that doesn’t know it’s about Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman and how they travelled around 20,000 miles from London to New York East. They did it back in 2004, but I can’t get enough of it. I love this documentary and I wish that I was able to undertake such a fantastical journey. I have yet to see Charley’s documentary about racing a motorbike in Race to Dakar, but I so want too.

Since I’ve finished The Long Way Round I’ll probably watch Michael Palin’s Himalaya again. I really want to watch Torchwood, but with my rugrats flitting around that is out of the question. Torchwood is not for their young eyes, and only because I don’t want them waking up with nightmares. I learned that lesson when I watched Star Trek Voyager in front of Boo and she had nightmares about Borg.

Back to the grindstone, I lost two days being sick, so I have much to catch up on. Muay work ahead of me to get done by at least midweek.

At SDoS today

I did a Hubby meme over at SDOS. I saw it on Julia’s blog and just had to play.

Check it out.

All I wanna do…

Friday, September 19th, 2008

is write, but the kids are sick. Boo had stomach craps and the next symptom that followed with same stomach cramps and Aidan has the sniffles. The other problem, I can feel it starting in me. BAH.

On the brightside today, Anya Delvay is coming over for lunch. Hooray! I plan on distracting said sick children with movie (she’s coming out of town so I can’t cancel on her) and we can chat for a few hours before she picks up her daughter. I’ve got a yummy lunch prepared.

I’m going to be fighting the urge to write. Especially since I get inspired being around other authors, it’s like a drug I swear. That’s why I absolutely love my monthly meetings at my RWA Chapter. It’s an amazing boost of energy being around other writers.

Hope you all have a great Friday and a great weekend. I’ll be in my cave … yet again. I’ll be finishing off Book two and doing a read through.

Oooh Pressie

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Finally it’s arrive and I am over the moon with ecstasy.

My recordings from RWA Nationals! SQUEE!

It’s for the most part–only because all classes weren’t taped–all the classes and seminars from San Francisco. It’s really sad that I am uber excited about it, but I am, so there. hehehe

The only problem with receiving it, is the lure of procrastination. It still lingers there like a bad taste. Especially, since it took me SEVEN hours to get ready for my cake decorating course. Yeah, SEVEN HOURS. So it was a b*&ch to get ready for class, but once I was in there doing the little stars and lettering and crap I was happy. My mind went blank, the voices stopped (character voices that is) and I was able to mentally rest. So that’s the bonus of cake decorating.

Next week I’m make drop flowers, and it won’t take me as long to get ready because basically I made a lot of icing yesterday, icing that i can use over and over. *whew* Drop flowers are essential for making Boo’s birthday cake for next weekend.

Okay, back to the grindstone. So close … so very close.
