Dang It
I did nothing this weekend other than edit Enemy Enchantress and submit it to the publisher. As for new writing, only like 250 words since Seventy Days of Sweat started on the 15th. That totally blows I know, I don’t have an excuse.
I planned to get stuff done, I really did … but my friend at work lent me Season One and Two of Grey’s Anatomy. Frig, now I’m absolutely hooked. I spent all day, ALL DAY, watching Season One of Grey’s Anatomy. I was also nursing a migraine still no excuse.
Dang.
I have nothing for poetry Monday. Other than a picture of the cast of Grey’s Anatomy. Bah.

Hey, editing and submitting is equally as important. In some ways, moreso ’cause I’m always telling the kids to finish what they start.
Take another day, clear your brain, and you’ll find yourself writing up a storm. Or else I’ll sic the Hatchet on you (this week’s Poetry Train fiction, if you’re lost).

Good job on the editing and submitting — I’m spending my Sweat time pre-Nano revising the rough draft I wrote during the first Sweat.
And don’t sweat too much about sweat — you’ll make it up, I’m sure! Sometimes a gal just needs a day to recharge.

Did you add any words in your editing? If so, count them, they’re new words right? They should count. That’s what I think, anyway.
I’ve been pretty good about writing each day (which was actually my goal this time round) and even reaching my word goal. My poem this week is a limmerick. Have a great week.

I’ve never seen Grey’s Anatomy but I’ve heard great things. Sorry you weren’t as productive as you would have wanted - but maybe you needed the time to unwind.

I agree, editing and submitting is HUGELY important! Sven is giving you a big old pat on the back. I haven’t seen Grey’s Anatomy, either.

How do you get your kids to allow you to do that? Spend all day watching somethign you want to watch? I’m amazed…
Even when my littlest is gone visiting his dad, the older two still make demands on the big TV, lol.
And I totally hear you on getting addicted to a series. We just started catching up on the first season of Ugly Betty. I’m totaly hooked! Our whole family (except 3) is.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. At least you did some editing, which always counts as writing.

Dr. McDreamy. Sigh, sigh, sigh, le sigh. LOL!!
Amy congrats on submitting Enemy Enchantress, I am crossing fingers and toes for you sweetie. And 250 words + editing this weekend still sounds very, very productive.
Tell Sven to chill out. LOL!

Sheesh, the cast of Grey’s is not even poetic. I took the easy way out and didn’t do a poem at all.

Sorry Sparky … hey at least I don’t like McDreamy. I think he’s a bit of a poop right now.

I dunno…seems like a good way to spend a day to me!
